Turtles on the Move: Uruguay!
This is almost the last turtles on the move! We're getting to the end of our travels and I must admit, I'm ready to be done with this gigantic backpack. Especially after lugging it around in the extreme heat. Plus, I'd like to burn all my clothes that I've been wearing for the last 5 months. Not really, but you know what I mean. We've been wearing the same stuff over and over.
Since we're so close to Uruguay, being in Buenos Aires, we decided to make the trip to Montevideo and fly home from there. We purchased a ferry+bus combo ticket to get us there. The ferry terminal in BA is really nice and almost feels like an airport. We got through immigration right after checking in, for both Argentina and Uruguay.
The ferry ride was only about an hour to Colonia, Uruguay and when we landed, there were plenty of buses lined up to make the drive to Montevideo. It was a little over 2 hours on the bus and we were dropped off just on the outskirts of town. We walked the 40 minutes to our hotel and got settled.
